The VS-626M5 is a highly reliable AC vector controlled inverter drive designed for controlling high speed, compact AC motors used in machine tool spindle drive applications. Vector controlled technology through the use of a digital signal processor and proprietary algorithms for speed, torque, and current control allows for minimum speed and torque variations during cutting. This impacts accuracy and surface finish of precision parts. 100% back-to-line power regeneration provides quick spindle deceleration times not limited by the ohmic value of externally mounted regeneration resistors. This allows for faster tool changes and increased machine productivity.
Error codes
Error code : Overcurrent (Fault #AL-01)
Meaning: Output current exceeded overcurrent detection value, or Inverter output (load) was short-circuited
Corrective actions:
Check the wiring for looseness, etc.
Note: Before turning the power ON again, make sure that no short-circuit or ground fault occurs at the Inverter output.
Error code : Ground Fault (Fault #AL-02)
Meaning: Inverter output side ground current exceeded grounding detection level
Corrective actions:
Check the motor for deterioration or insulation
Check the wiring between Inverter and motor
Note: Before turning the power ON again, make sure that no short-circuit or ground fault occurs at the Inverter output.
Error code : Main circuit fuse blown (Fault #AL-04)
Meaning: DC circuit fuse was blown
Corrective actions:
Check for damage to transistor, short-circuits on load side, ground fault, etc…
Check the Inverter output wiring.
Error code : Inverter output overload (Fault #AL-05)
Meaning: Output current of 120% of 30-minuterating runs for over one minute
Detection level:
Reduce the load
Check the load shaft (Inverter,Servo) capacity
Error code : Motor overload (Fault #AL-06)
Meaning: Motor overload capacity exceeded
Corrective actions: Reduce the load
Error code : Motor overload (when the motor is locked) (Fault #AL-07)
Meaning: The motor exceeded the overload level at low speed (30 min or less)
Corrective actions:
Check if the load is heavy or a tool is jammed.
Make sure that the motor shaft rotates. (Check if a motor fault or a contact between the rotor and the stator occurs, or if a bearing is damaged)
